The Meaning of Occultism
The word “occult” means “hidden Knowledge.”
Occultism is a general term to describe “various theories and practices involving a belief in and knowledge or use of supernatural forces or beings.”
There is no single form of occultism. Sometimes, a person derives beliefs from occult practices; at other times, one selects occult practices because of external beliefs to which occultism molds itself.
Demonology
Demonology is the study of Demons. Demons have been organized into hierarchies and their origins, duties, and purposes explained since ancient times.
Most Demonologists are theologians, clergy, and philosophers. Laypeople can become Demonologists, usually by working with clergy who are trained exorcists.
The Holy Qabala
The Qabalah is not a holy book as are the Vedas, the Bible, and the Koran. It is not a book at all: instead it is a secret traditional knowledge, the hidden thought of Israel, which, like gold embedded in rock, is to be found only after much labour in many Hebrew works, such as the Torah, the Talmud, the Mishna, Midrashim, Zohar, and scores of other books, the bewildering nature of which may be recognized in a few minutes by glancing through A Talmudic Miscellany by Paul Isaac Hershon..
